WIT DABAL was born on September 26th, 1955 in Tarnowskie Gory, Poland. In 1979 he graduated from the Cinematography Department of the National Film, Television and Theater School in Lodz. As a director of photography his credit include around 19 feature films and Tv dramas in which he worked with film directors such as: Piotr Andrejew, Filip Bajon, Edward Bennett, Jerzy Domaradzki, Waldemar Dziki, Jerzy Kaszubowski, Jacek Koprowicz, Pawel Pawlikowski, Alexandar Petrovic, Stephen Poliakoff, Jacek Shoen, Kevin Molony, Andrzej Wajda. He has been also the director of photography for dozens of documentary and short films. Many of them were produced by the BBC and received such prestigious awards like the International EMMY Award, the Royal Television Society Award, the Broadcasting Press Guild Award and Prix Italia. For years he has been also involved shooting commercials in the world of advertising. 1
